Through The Eyes Of The Dead - Disomus
It's been seven long years since the last release from arguably one of the scene's most devastating and notoriously brutal bands - Through The Eyes of The Dead. But luckily for us, the band graced us with their latest offering - Disomus - on October 13th, and it once again restores TTEOTD back in their throne as death metal legends. Disomus - which is when a fetus is born with two heads, yet one body - is a straight up pulverizing beat down through the use of their instruments.
"Hate The Living" kicks off Disomus, and it right away jumps right into the action: sick guitars, epic vocals, and thunderous drums; it won't take more than a few seconds to realize that you're listening to a Through The Eyes Of The Dead record. As the song continues on, you'll continue to realize it encompasses all that has made TTEOTD so goddamn sick in the past, but it's done in a fresh, modern way. It is this particular sound that will make you feel that this record was no doubt written for the fans. That devastating sound we are all so familiar with is back; heavier, crazier, and more brutal than ever before. The roller-coaster riffs and relentless death metal continues on tracks like "Of Mortals, We Once Were," "Teras," and "Haruspex." These tracks are incredibly deep and have obviously been carefully crafted, each note has been precisely placed to form the ten intense beasts that make up Disomus. This album is a must-listen for fans of everything metal; you'll do doubt find something that you will appreciate. If you're into technicality, Disomus delivers. If you just want heavy, Disomus delivers.
But don't take my word for it, check out the track "Teras" below, and if you like what you hear, grab a copy of the album!
